Great filter for a small tank.
Bought it as an option if needed for my shrimp-only tank.
I've had one of these sponges going for a year now. It works so well I just bought this second one. It has a fine porosity which stops half the stuff from falling away from the sponge when you pull it out for maintenance. That's fine for smaller sizes you can slip into a bag, but this big boy is keeping my 125 planted tank stable. I want a second one for my 180. I have most of my fish room on sponges with a linear piston pump now. Even though I keep an FX6 on the 180, I believe in a backup method and this sponge is the answer. I was able to pull the canister off my 125 and conserve electricity while reducing maintenance. The material holds up nicely and doesn't tear when squeezed. I love pulling the muck out with this guy (Barbs are little piggies) and pour the dirty water into my house plants. The weighted base stops it from floating up.

Perfect for my 5.5 gallon betta tank. This replaced an Imagitarium Mini Sponge Filter. That thing kept coming loose and floating all over the tank and drove me and my poor betta nuts. Love this filter. I put it in. It stays put. It works. That is all!

These are wonderful for hiding behind a plant in a nano tank, and the gravel in the bottom is perfect for weighing it down, and kinda acts like media in one of the old school box filters! For the price, it's pretty great, for a small sponge filter!

Replaced a 75 gal foam filter with two of these 60s in my 55 gallon tank. Cleared up the cloudy water within 24 hrs. I clean one filter, then 3-4 days later the other. I have 4 fancy goldfish+ couple other small types. 2 Thumbs up! 👍👍 PS- old filter had “ears” to be lined up to put on and off at cleaning. These do also, but a lot easier to deal with
