Hygrophila corymbosa 'Kompakt' is a dwarf variety of Hygrophila corymbosa, probably nursery created. Large leaves are densely packed on the stems of Hygrophila corymbosa 'Kompakt' making it an ideal choice for foreground areas or midground areas in the aquarium and also in nano tanks. It is a much slower grower than most other types. Make sure to keep Hygrophila corymbosa 'Kompakt' properly trimmed to allow light to the lower leaves for the best look.
Because of its compact growth habit and dark green color, Hygrophila corymbosa 'Kompakt' would also be a good choice for terrarium or paludarium use.
