Assassin Snail, that sounds a bit harsh doesn't it? Well not if you're interested in help eradicating pest snails from your aquarium cause....... well...... that's what these snails do.
It's not uncommon to hear stories about pest snails finding their way into an aquarium whether it be from plants or natural decor, it happens. The #1 question is "How do you get rid of them".
Well there's really 2 answers. 1 is to pick them out by hand which is annoying and no matter how often you get them out more pop up due to them being prolific reproducers. The second answer is to add something to the tank whose sole purpose is to hunt down and eliminate them..... ladies and gentlemen, I give you Assassin Snails.
Not only are these beautiful snails but they help keep your aquarium tidy and help keep algae under control. They're natures gift to fish keepers.
These little bad boys are amazing. I got 4 of them to try to help with some pest control in my 20 gallon tank, and let me tell you, they have been putting in some hours. I have order snails from other places and most of the time they show up dead or really, really small. I got these guys in, and they were a lot bigger than I have ever seen them in a pet store. Not sure what Lisa does to get them this size but I have never been more happy. Best money I ever spent.
I received 3 healthy live snails, since adding them to the aquarium a wee ago I have only seen them a couple times but pull more bladder snail shells out every day
