Fritz A+ Aquarium Salt helps keep freshwater fish healthy. Fritz A+ Aquarium Salt is an all-natural salt that provides the essential electrolytes freshwater fish need for the uptake of oxygen and release of carbon dioxide and ammonia through the gills. Without electrolytes, fish might face serious health problems. Fritz A+ Aquarium Salt should only be added to reduce stress during new aquarium setup and water changes or to promote disease recovery when solving specific fish health issues.
Directions & Dosage
To condition water for tropical community and goldfish tanks: Add one tablespoon of Fritz A+ Aquarium Salt per 5 gallons of water. In livebearer tanks, use up to 1 tablespoon per gallon, increasing levels slowly over 3-4 days.
For Treatment of External Parasites: Prepare a 2.5% saline bath in a quarantine tank by adding 1/2 cup (95 gm) per 1 gallon of water. Immerse fish for 15-30 minutes, removing at first signs of stress. Replace fish in freshwater.
Cleaning Aquarium and Accessories: Never use soap or disinfectants! To create a powerful, safe cleansing solution, simply dissolve 1/3 cup of Fritz A+ Aquarium Salt in one gallon of warm water. Wipe sides of tank and soak accessories in solution.
NOTE: Fritz A+ Aquarium Salt does not evaporate and is not filtered out, so it should only be added with each water change. Care should be taken when using salt with live plants, as some plants may be sensitive.
As always John and Lisa are the site I go to first for anything I need, but with a large South American Cichlid tank I need to buy in bulk. The one and only local shop were I live can't supply me with all my needs, I usually buy chemicals by the gallon. But there customer service and speed of shipping are bar none the best. My fish are very important to me and their Videos are great source of information ( and entertaining ) So I just want to thank both of Y'all,
Thank You
Michael
I have used aquarium salt in all my betta tanks for over a year. I love Fritz A plus aquarium salt. It dissolves easily. I always use aquarium salt when changing water or setting up a new betta tank. I highly recommend this product.
Salt is good for your fresh water fish. This product dissolves very well and like the additives they put in to support your fishes health. Use it every time I change water.
So I bought the aquarium salt just in case I needed it. When the holidays came around and I didn't really check on my tanks for a few days, besides just feeding the fish. I noticed on the day after Christmas that the fish were lethargic. Weren't really interested in eating. They looked like they had a bunch of white spots over them. which of course was ick. thankfully I had already did my research on kgtropicals YouTube channel. Because I did and they're videos I knew I would eventually need some. I'm glad I had it. the instructions were easily to follow. So I followed them and gave the ones that looked really bad a salt dip and treated the rest of the tank with the aquarium salt. Here we are almost a week later and they're already looking better. I'm not saying they put magic dust in the salt that saved my fish. But it was there videos that made me aware that aquarium salt is a good natural treatment. Oh the best part is it was very affordable. Even a working joe like me can afford it. Will be a customer for life. Thanks John and Lisa!
Was losing a few goldfish every week for two months. Tried medications but couldn’t slow it down. As a last resort, tried the aquarium salt and the die off has almost stopped. Seems to have helped my tank.

Always keep a bag of this around. I like this brand of aquarium salt over others because the salt comes in finer grains that the others I've tried so it doesn't feel like I'm creating a hail storm in my fish tank whenever I'm adding salt!
This aquarium salt is absolutely wonderful dissolve really fast this website always has the best products at the best price and the fastest shipping around highly recommend this product and highly recommend this website.
Really love this salt. Use it for hatching brine shrimp as well as medicating tanks. Finer grains that another product so dissolves easily. And it is also offered at a great price!
I never knew salt was beneficial for freshwater tanks, even betta and goldfish. I just always assumed salt was for saltwater tanks only. I learned the benefits from KGTropicals YouTube videos and had to purchase. Very happy with the price for the amount of salt in the bag. I will purchase again when I need more.
I love how fine the salt is. It is far easier to use than the larger versions/brands. I will definitely be buying this again later.
