Seems to be a hard-working little filter I think it's going to need cleaned more often because of the small filter area. I am waiting to hear where I can find an extra filter cube with the bio media for the nano. Fast no hassle shipping. Kind Thanks,
I enjoy the filter, and it seems to work quite well. My only complaint is that I can’t get the bubbler to work on the lower flow settings. My fish like the lower flow with the power head, but my daughters miss the bubbles.
So far this product is working exactly as I had hoped! I just wanted to add a little flow across the top of my 36 gallon bow front. The spray bar is perfect and it has the bo us of a little extra filtration to go along with the hang on the back.
L9ve this little filter. It takes up almost no room in my 10 gallon, is silent, and is just enough flow to not disturb my beta. Another great product. KGTropical is really wonderful to deal with. Always responsive, helpful if problems come up, and ship quickly. My wife and I have made many purchases over the last six months and really appreciate this company.
I ordered the Shark Pro Nano for my betta's 6 gallon cube to replace an Aquaclear 20 HOB. I've been using the Aquaclear HOBs in various sizes for years and I wanted to try an internal filter as I'd never had one before. The filter arrived quickly and I was amazed at how simple it is to remove and install the filter cubes. I'm a little worried about the tiny size of the sponge but I will trust Sicce to know what they're doing! I did take a tiny piece of sponge from the old filter and wedged it into one of the cubes. The magnet that keeps the filter in place is very strong, so make sure you ease it onto your aquarium. I had to turn the output all the way down but it's perfect for my betta now. So far, I'm very pleased with this filter!
What's to share? Assemble the spray bar, plug it in, and let it go. Good flow, quiet, easy to clean the filter. I love my Sicce Tidal HOBs and internal filters.
I have not used it yet. It looks nice, I love that it attaches via magnet instead of suction cups. This should be the norm now. Suction cups suck. Im used to aquaclear HOB's with a ton of sponge. So this will take some getting used to. May add another cube to the bottom with more sponge.
CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS!
I have a heavily planted community tank, 20 tall with a top of the line canister filter. Sometimes the water isn't clear, clear so I got this to take the extra out of the water. This thing is a work horse. It grabs everything! It is so powerful and has lots of options. The frogs swim in the current - I thought I had 2 frogs . . . now I see I have 5! The fish love to frolic too.
Cleaning the filter is so easy. Very easy. The magnet to hold it to the side is great. That makes it easy to move around. LOVE IT
Appreciate the services KGTropicals provide. I've also bought some plants that are looking great in my tank. Just waiting for the tank to cycle and I'll be adding some pea puffers. I've listened to every episode of tank talk and would recommend it to anyone new or experienced in the hobby
I love it! I was recommended this by a close friend named Kaz who uses the shark pro! Titus my betta and his companions of Cory cats named Whitey and Guilliman love it and are more active than ever
My fish are happier! The first time I turned on the filter, they went nuts. They school together and surf along/against the current. They are move active now. My old set up is an air stone inside a sponge filter and now I realize while there was some filtering, there wasn't enough circulation. The pump is very quiet because it is under the water. I also have CO2 and this pump helps disperse the CO2 throughout the tank.
I loved this filter straight out of the box-even more so when I discovered the adjustable flow tab (I didn't read the directions 😅) this filter replaced the sponge I was using before and I'll gladly never look back. 😁
So far I have one set up and am very happy with it. I replaced a sponge filter and am enjoying the bubble free quiet. I definitely recommend this internal filter.
This is a great filter. It's very small, easy to conceal in a corner, but powerful enough to move water all through the 10 gallon I have it in. I comes with a couple cool attachments; an aerator/direction nozzle and a little spray bar attachment. Super easy to take apart and put together for cleaning the sponges, and the magnet to mount the unit to the glass is super-duper handy and strong. The only downside for me is that there's no way to adjust the flow rate (that I know of). That said, for the price this filter is hard to beat!
I was a bit concerned that the flow would be too strong for my beloved Betta's but after watching Jon's video, I decided to give them a try. They are a perfect replacement for my sponge filters in my 5 gallon tanks. The lowest flow setting has kept my boys very happy.
Took a moment to understand the entire filter can be submerged. Though it does indicate in the information booklet that the filter is "to be submerged to run". I am running it in a 6.9 rimless tank.
Thank you
this is my second shark pro nano from kg tropical, I actually watched a YouTube video that John did and bought my 1st one, I loved it so much I bought another a few weeks later. powerful little filters. sooo easy to clean.
