It was doing great until my snails got to them
Lobelia cardinalis is a lovely plant for the aquarium and is very popular for use in formal Dutch aquariums to form the iconic “streets” seen in these tanks. In the wild, Lobelia cardinalis is quite a large plant, and this larger form is used as a marginal plant for ponds, where it produces pretty red flowers. But a smaller form has been developed in cultivation and this is a nicer aquarium plant. While Lobelia cardinalis definitely grows better with supplemental CO2 and good lighting, it can also be maintained in a less robust form in a “low tech” tank. It should be noted that in emersed form (such as when it is first purchased) the leaves are dark olive, with a maroon underside. In the submersed form seen in the aquarium, the leaves are smaller, and a bright light green.

Arrived undamaged and are doing Great!
I really like this plant, it is sturdy and it fits perfectly in the middle of the aquascape. I hope to have more of plants in the future from John and Lisa. Their plants are very beautiful and even with living on the west coast my plant survived. My panda coreys love to hide behind or even in between plants. I do not mind the plant being all green under the water it looks great and gives texture to the aquascape. It is also the first plant I bought ever and I haven’t killed it yet.

Plants an snails came in good shape considering that they arrived to Elkins at 6.30 am an was drove around town all day, by the UPS, arrived at 7pm. UPS needs to deliver live fish an Plants first

Plants from you always arrive in great shape. I needed more plants to help eradicate an outbreak of string algae. Between my pulling it out, more plants to use up the nutrients, and with the help of the new Ottos and Hillstream Loaches, we will get rid of it.

The plant I received was healthy and a decent size. It started growing right away and seems to be doing well. Definitely a nice looking plant that will hopefully thrive in my setup. Shipping arrived two days earlier than the estimate and I'm happy with the purchase.
